RAW Artists Inc. began in 2009 and grew to the world’s largest independent arts organization.

RAW’s mission is to provide tools, resources, exposure, and education to independent artists within the first 10 years of their career. RAW hosted live showcase events featuring 10 creative categories (film, fashion, music, visual art, performing art, beauty, photography, accessories, craft & tech). RAW was built as an online and offline community that grew to over 200k artists worldwide with our proprietary planning, production, and promotions tech at the core of our operation.

I started RAW with $0 from my kitchen table at the peak of the Great Financial Crisis.
RAW grew to a multi-million dollar, Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Company (2019), with licenses in Canada, Mexico, Australia & UK.

I led RAW’s team of 65 employees, hired over 200 people over eleven years, and developed all systems, training materials, handbooks, and standard operating procedures for the organization. I procured venue contracts in over 100 cities across the globe as well as cultivating national partnerships and relationships with press, vendors, and industry professionals in the field.

RAW also had a Film Festival (RAW FF), a podcast (Industry Exchange), a 24-hour radio station (RAWdio), and an annual awards show (RAWards). During my tenure, RAW produced over 1,500 showcases in 70 cities around the world.

In 2020, RAW was shuttered for 18 months during the COVID-19 pandemic. During that time, I pivoted RAW Artists into PLATFORM by RAW Artists, a licensing program for independent event producers.

In March 2025, I exited as the CEO and passed the torch to a new leader, Meghan Jones, who had been a part of RAW since 2010. She continues to lead RAW Artists today.

Below are photos from my tenure at RAW Artists.
